Accident Waiver & Release of Liability

Important Notice

This document contains important information about the risks associated with participating in Combat Zone activities. Please read this waiver carefully before participating. By participating in any Combat Zone activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this waiver.

Activity Description

Combat Zone activities involve team-based combat games using water-based gel pellet markers in an outdoor tactical environment. Participants engage in physical activity including running, crawling, climbing, and tactical movements while using provided safety equipment.

Acknowledgment of Risks and Dangers

Physical Risks:

• Slips, trips, and falls on uneven terrain, wet surfaces, or obstacles
• Collisions with other participants, equipment, or environmental obstacles
• Eye injuries from gel pellets, despite protective equipment
• Sprains, strains, and muscle injuries from physical exertion
• Heat exhaustion, dehydration, or heat stroke during outdoor activities
• Hypothermia or cold-related injuries in adverse weather conditions
• Cardiac events or other medical emergencies during physical activity
• Injuries from climbing, jumping, or navigating obstacles

Equipment and Environmental Risks:

• Equipment malfunction or failure of safety gear
• Injuries from tactical props, barriers, or course obstacles
• Weather-related hazards including rain, wind, or extreme temperatures
• Uneven or slippery terrain throughout the combat zone
• Potential exposure to natural hazards (insects, plants, wildlife)
• Noise-related hearing issues from markers and equipment

Medical and Health Risks:

• Aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions
• Allergic reactions to materials, equipment, or environmental factors
• Respiratory issues from physical exertion or environmental factors
• Infections from minor cuts, scrapes, or contact with equipment
• Psychological stress or anxiety from competitive activities

Participant Behavior Risks:

• Injuries caused by failure to follow safety instructions
• Accidents resulting from horseplay or unsafe behavior
• Injuries from not wearing or properly using safety equipment
• Collisions due to running, pushing, or aggressive play

Safety Requirements and Responsibilities

Participant Responsibilities:

• Must be 6 years of age or older to participate
• Must wear all provided safety equipment at all times during activities
• Must follow all safety instructions and rules provided by staff
• Must not participate if under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Must report any injuries or safety concerns immediately
• Must not engage in horseplay or unsafe behavior
• Must stay within designated boundaries and follow course rules

Medical Considerations:

• Participants with medical conditions should consult a doctor before participating
• Pregnant women should not participate in Combat Zone activities
• Participants with heart conditions, respiratory issues, or other serious medical conditions should not participate
• Participants must disclose any relevant medical information to staff

Release of Liability and Indemnification

I, the undersigned participant (or parent/guardian if participant is under 18), hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation: I voluntarily choose to participate in Combat Zone activities with full knowledge of the risks involved.

2. Assumption of Risk: I understand and accept all risks associated with Combat Zone activities, including the risk of serious injury or death.

3. Release of Claims: I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Combat Zone Willen Lake, its owners, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in Combat Zone activities.

4. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Combat Zone Willen Lake from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from my participation or the participation of any minor under my supervision.

5. Medical Authorization: I authorize Combat Zone staff to seek emergency medical treatment if necessary and agree to be responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

6. Photography and Media: I consent to the use of my image in photographs, videos, or other media for promotional purposes.

7. Governing Law: This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

Document Information

This waiver is valid for all Combat Zone activities and remains in effect until revoked in writing. A copy of this waiver will be kept on file for your records. Please retain a copy for your reference.
